Job Description

Position Overview: Aquila is seeking for a Project Manager to play a crucial role in leading and overseeing geospatial projects from inception to completion. You will work with a dynamic and diverse team of professionals to ensure the successful execution of projects, with a particular emphasis on Oil & Gas pipeline monitoring projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in geospatial projects and be well-versed in geodata analysis, geoprocessing tools, Lidar acquisition, and 3D modeling.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Leadership: Lead and manage geospatial projects, with a focus on Oil & Gas pipeline monitoring, from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

  2. Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring that project outcomes meet their expectations.

  3. Team Management: Supervise a multidisciplinary team, including geospatial analysts, geoprocessing specialists, and 3D modelers, to ensure effective collaboration and project success.

  4. Geodata Analysis: Apply your expertise in geospatial data analysis to extract meaningful insights and patterns from geospatial data.

  5. Geoprocessing Tools: Utilize geoprocessing tools and software to manipulate, process, and analyze geospatial data efficiently.

  6. Lidar Acquisition: Manage Lidar acquisition processes, including planning, data collection, and quality control, to support project requirements.

  7. 3D Modeling: Oversee 3D modeling activities to create accurate and visually appealing representations of geospatial data.

  8. Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and accuracy of project deliverables through rigorous quality assurance processes.

  9. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them to ensure project success.

  10. Budget and Timeline Management: Monitor project budgets and timelines, making adjustments as necessary to keep projects on track.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Geospatial Sciences, Geographical Information Systems, Environmental Science, Engineering).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing geospatial projects.

  • Preferred experience in Oil & Gas pipeline monitoring projects.

  • Proficiency in geodata analysis, geoprocessing tools, Lidar acquisition, and 3D modeling.

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with relevant geospatial software and technologies.

  • PMP certification is a plus.
