Summary
Aquila was presented with a challenge to deploy a solution where the primary goal was to provide management and traveling employees with a tool (App) that would empower them to make informed decisions regarding their travel management. This App should designed with customization in mind, catering to seven different tiers of employees within the organization. It was meant to not only enhance employee safety but also improve their overall experience during international and domestic travel.
Solution:
Aquila responded with an innovative approach, deploying an integrated web service and app that harnessed the power of more than 70 data sources, with 57 of them providing real-time information. This extensive dataset included crime statistics, traffic updates, political context, government reports, social media trends, zoning characteristics, distance analysis, population clustering, recommendations for safe areas, warnings about dangerous places, emergency service and agency information, contact details, response times, points of interest, transportation options, lodging details, and much more. The integration of these diverse sources allowed for comprehensive safety and security information at users' fingertips.
Key Features:
- Real-time Information: The app continuously updated its information through 57 real-time data sources, ensuring that employees had the most current safety and security information.
- Scoring System: The app provided location ratings, allowing users to gauge the safety and security of specific areas.
- Customization: The app was tailored to the needs and roles of seven distinct tiers of employees, ensuring that every user had a personalized experience.
- Comprehensive Data: Beyond basic safety information, the app offered insights into various aspects of a location, such as points of interest, transportation options, and lodging details.
- Global Reach: With information spanning 29 countries, the app was designed to serve employees traveling both within the United States and internationally.
Outcomes:
In the pursuit of ensuring the safety and security of their employees traveling worldwide, our client, a prominent Engineering Company with jobsites spanning 29 countries, partnered with Aquila to create a groundbreaking solution. The challenge was clear - how to safeguard their workforce when jobsites were often located far from urban centers.
Impact:
Aquila's solution had a profound impact on the Engineering Company's operations. Not only did it enhance the safety and security of their employees, but it also streamlined the travel experience. Employees had the information they needed to make informed decisions, and the organization, in turn, saw increased employee satisfaction and reduced incidents related to travel.
In a world where safety and security are paramount, Aquila's solution empowered the Engineering Company to safeguard their employees, ensuring their well-being while supporting the company's global operations. This project exemplified the successful fusion of technology, data, and innovation to meet the critical needs of a global workforce.
